Calculation of CUET UG Raw Score
While calculating their CUET UG raw scores, candidates must follow the official marking scheme issued by the NTA.
- Correct Answers : For every correct response, candidates receive 5 marks.
- Incorrect Answers : One mark is deducted for every wrong answer.
- Unattempted Questions : No marks are given for unattempted questions.
- Multiple Correct Options : If more than one answer option is correct, candidates will receive +5 marks for marking any correct option.
- Dropped or Incorrect Questions : If a question is found to be incorrect or dropped, all candidates who attempted it will be awarded +5 marks.
- Example Calculation: Let’s assume a candidate answered 50 questions, of which 40 were correct and 10 were incorrect.
Using marking scheme:
- Correct answers: 40 × 5 = 200 marks
- Incorrect answers: 10 × (-1) = -10 marks
- Final Score = 200 – 10 = 190 marks
