Calculation of CUET UG Raw Score

While calculating their CUET UG raw scores, candidates must follow the official marking scheme issued by the NTA.

  1. Correct Answers : For every correct response, candidates receive 5 marks.
  2. Incorrect Answers : One mark is deducted for every wrong answer.
  3. Unattempted Questions : No marks are given for unattempted questions.
  4. Multiple Correct Options : If more than one answer option is correct, candidates will receive +5 marks for marking any correct option.
  5. Dropped or Incorrect Questions : If a question is found to be incorrect or dropped, all candidates who attempted it will be awarded +5 marks.
  6. Example Calculation: Let’s assume a candidate answered 50 questions, of which 40 were correct and 10 were incorrect.

Using marking scheme:

  • Correct answers: 40 × 5 = 200 marks
  • Incorrect answers: 10 × (-1) = -10 marks
  • Final Score = 200 – 10 = 190 marks
