Selection Procedure for MPPSC Assistant Professors in 2025

State colleges and universities must go through a stringent 4-stage screening procedure run by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) in order to hire assistant professors. Candidates must pass each step in order. Performance in the interview is given less weight than the written test.

  • Written Exam: Subjective and objective assessment of topic knowledge
  • Interview Process: In-person conversation to assess teaching ability
  • Verification of Documents: Examining educational credentials and eligibility
  • Final Merit List: Selection based on composite scores.

The 2025 MPPSC Assistant Professor Selection Process

Includes an interview as a key stage of assessment for candidates who have passed the written exam. This interview phase is worth 100 marks and plays a crucial role in the selection process, where candidates are judged on their academic credentials, knowledge, research capabilities, teaching abilities, and other pertinent factors.

In this section, we will explore the details of the interview phase. The interview panel might pose questions regarding the candidate’s prior research work, publications, and any other significant accomplishments.

  • Academic Credentials: The panel reviews the candidate’s academic background to evaluate their fit for the Assistant Professor role.
  • Subject Proficiency: The panel tests the candidate’s grasp of the subject they have applied for and their capacity to respond to subject-specific inquiries.
  • Research Skills: The panel examines the candidate’s research abilities, which include their research methods, experience, and published work.
  • Teaching Abilities: The panel looks at the candidate’s teaching skills, such as their effectiveness in communication and their capability to engage students in learning.
  • Character Traits: The panel considers the candidate’s personality traits, including their confidence, attitude, and overall alignment with the Assistant Professor position.
  • The final selection for document verification of candidates depends on the overall scores from the written examination and the interview. Candidates who excel in the interview phase and have qualified in the written exam will be invited to the document verification round of the MPPSC Selection process.
