JoSAA 2025 Round 1 Allotment: The results for the first round of seat allotment by JoSAA have now been announced. Candidates have been assigned seats in IITs based on their JEE Advanced 2025 ranks and the preferences they submitted. Likewise, placements in NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs have been determined according to the candidates’ choices and their JEE Main 2025 ranks.
The JoSAA 2025 seat allotment results can be accessed at josaa.nic.in through their respective logins. To check the JoSAA 2025 seat allotment result, candidates need to log in using their JEE Main 2025 application number and password. After logging in, candidates can view their assigned course and institute.
The opening and closing ranks for JoSAA 2025 concerning IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs have also been released.
Candidates who have received seat allotments will have until June 18 to make decisions regarding their allotments. To proceed with the JoSAA counseling following the seat allotment, candidates must complete the online reporting process (which includes seat acceptance fee payment, document upload, and responding to any queries) by June 18.

To get the JoSAA 2025 seat allocation outcome, follow these steps:
- Visit josaa.nic.in, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority’s (JoSAA) official website.
- To see the seat allocation outcome, locate and click the link on the site.
- You will be prompted to enter your JoSAA 2025 application number and password on a new page.
- The outcome of the seat allocation will appear on the screen when the information has been submitted.
- After confirming your details, save the page.
- Download it, then print it off for your records.
JoSAA 2025 Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF)
Once a candidate has been assigned a seat in any phase of the JoSAA counselling procedure, they must pay the seat acceptance fee (SAF). Verification of the candidate’s documents will not be conducted until the SAF is paid.

JoSAA Counselling 2025 Seat Confirmation – Freeze/Float/Slide
Candidates are required to accept the assigned seat and select one of the following options—‘Freeze’, ‘Slide’, or ‘Float’—regarding their academic program for any future rounds of JoSAA seat allocation:
- Freeze: When a candidate chooses “Freeze,” they accept the given seat and confirm their contentment with the allocated academic program. The candidate will not take part in any further rounds of JoSAA 2025 and will keep the same seat.
- Float: By selecting “Float,” the candidate accepts the assigned seat while expressing willingness to be considered for admission to a preferred academic program at any Institute in upcoming rounds. If no higher preference is available, the candidate will remain in the accepted academic program. Those who opt for “Float” will be taken into consideration in future rounds of JoSAA 2025.
- Slide: By choosing “Slide,” the candidate accepts the allocated seat and is open to being assigned a higher-preference academic program within the same Institute in later rounds of seat allocation. Candidates who select “Slide” will also be considered in subsequent rounds of JoSAA 2025.
