Bihar Special Teacher Recruitment 2025: The Bihar Special School Teacher Eligibility Test (BSSTET) will be administered by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) to fill 7,279 positions. BSEB Special Teacher Recruitment 2025: Job Openings
Paper 1 will be held for 5,534 individuals aiming to qualify for teaching students in grades 1 through 5.
Paper 2 is designated for 1,745 individuals aspiring to become Special Teachers for grades 6 to 8.
BSEB Special Teacher Recruitment: Requirements for Eligibility
- To qualify for the Special Teacher position (at any grade level), candidates must successfully pass the BSSTET exam.
- Candidates who have scored at least 50 percent in their class 12 examinations and have completed a D.EI.Ed in Special Education or a B.Ed in Special Education are eligible to apply for the position for grades 1 to 5.
- For the class 6 to 8 special teacher position, candidates need to possess a bachelor’s degree along with a B.Ed in Special Education.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old and should not exceed the age of 47.
BSEB Special Teacher Recruitment: Exam Structure
The examination will include 150 multiple-choice questions.
This year’s exam will not feature negative marking.
The test will last for a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Educational Qualification
Class 1–5 (5534 posts):
Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks and hold a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or a Diploma in Special Education (D.Ed Special Education).
Alternatively, candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and a B.Ed in Special Education are also eligible.
Class 6–8 (1745 posts):
Candidates must have at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) in Graduation or Post-Graduation along with a B.Ed or B.Ed in Special Education.
Additionally, candidates must have subject specialization and be registered with the RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India).
It is mandatory to have passed the BSSTET 2023 or CTET exam.
