IAF Group C Recruitment Process 2025
The recruitment process will consist of the following steps:
- Review of Applications: All submissions will be evaluated concerning age criteria, minimum qualifications, and the required documents and certificates.
- Written Examination: Eligible applicants will receive call letters and must attend a written examination. The test will be aligned with the minimum educational requirements for the position.
- Syllabus for LDC/Hindi Typist: General Intelligence, English Language, Numerical Aptitude, and General Awareness.
- Syllabus for MTS, HKS, Laundryman, Mess Staff, and Vulcaniser: General Intelligence and Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English, and General Awareness.
- Syllabus for all other trades/posts: General Intelligence and Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English, General Awareness, along with trade/post-specific questions.
- The question and answer paper will be available in both English and Hindi.
- The written examination will carry full weightage.
- Skill/Practical/Physical Examination: A sufficient number of candidates will be chosen based on merit/category from the written examination to participate in a skill/practical/physical test, where required. This stage is qualifying.
- Document Verification: Candidates who are shortlisted must present original certificates and copies of the annexures submitted with the application for verification.
How to Apply for IAF Civilian Group C Positions 2025
Qualified applicants can submit their applications to any Air Force Station of their preference, depending on the available positions and their qualifications.
- Draft the application according to the format specified in the official notification (typed in English or Hindi).
- Make sure the application is accompanied by self-attested copies of all necessary documents:
- Educational Qualification certificates.
- Proof of Age.
- Technical Qualification certificates (if any).
- Experience Certificate (if relevant).
- Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates, issued by the appropriate civil authorities). OBC candidates must verify that their caste is included in the Central List and provide a certificate confirming that they are not classified as part of the creamy layer.
- EWS candidates are required to have a valid Income & Asset Certificate for the Financial Year 2025-2026 (reflecting income for FY 2024-2025).
- Photocopy of the discharge book for Ex-servicemen (self-attested).
- PwBD certificate if applicable and requesting exemption from the typing test (as per Annexure-II).
- Attach a recent passport-sized photograph (self-attested) to the application form.
- Include any other relevant supporting documents (self-attested).
- Provide a self-addressed envelope with a Rs. 10/- postage stamp affixed to it. The address should be typed in English or Hindi.
- Make sure to write “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF _ AND CATEGORY _” on the envelope.
- Submit the application to the chosen Air Force Station within 30 days from the publication date of the advertisement. A separate application is required for each position.
- Two additional passport-sized photographs (identical to the one attached to the application form) should be included.
